WHAT IS CNC?
In Computer Numerical Control (CNC), the basic idea is the operation of machine tools with the help of commands composed of symbols such as numbers, letters, etc., which are coded according to a specific logic, and a system in which the machine control unit (MCU) can store the part program. In Computer Numerical Control, as a result of computerizing the machine control unit, it is possible not only to store programs, but also to stop the program at every stage of part production, make any necessary changes to the program, continue again from where the program was stopped, and save the program in its final form in memory. Therefore, it is sufficient to load the program into the control unit only once. Transfer of programs to the machine is carried out via data carriers such as Punched Tapes, Magnetic Tapes, etc.
